Celebrating the HARVEST...

My students wanted to bring in food from the countries they are from. We have a super diverse classroom and there was some seriously delicious food from around the globe..including CRICKETS (fried with garlic and salt...yep, had one!)...

 Cornbread from Africa

 Chocolate Potato cake from Ireland
 cookies from Denmark

 CRICKETS from Mexico

 Sambozas (sp?) from Yemen
I cannot remember the name of this delicious flatbread but it is from Lebanon

 Scones from France

 Injerta (sp?) from Enetria

Fried rice from Thailand, spagghetti squash from Kent, WA and some cookies from Safeway..hehe
Hot dogs from America (American cheese too)

 The Crickets!

Waskowitz

Just a couple of shots when we took three girls to Waskowitz Open House to scope out the deal ...and then photos of Julia with Chandra and David (my friends and colleagues and Chan is her current teacher!)...Gurleen with her family too.

Hilarious relay...chug the alcoholic something from a baby bottle, blow up a balloon, put it under your upper garment to feel prego and then waddle pennies between your knees and drop into a cup...

 Winner, winner....
