We are doing a lot of mini science units right now since that science assessment that the 5th graders will be taking is fast approaching... so, since the 6th graders already know all the systems I am teaching the 5ths, they are making demos of different things (photosynthesis, electricity, ecosystems, erosion, etc...). They are way into it and this was the scene in the back of the classroom as I am working with the 5th up front-they worked so hard and quietly for a LONG time. They are such awesome kids and I cannot wait to meet with them to preview the fruits of their labor. There is a lot of hands on, visual stuff...if it is as great as it sounds like they are, we will take the show on the road-to the other 5th classes if they want.
