Anyway, this was taken "post daycamp"... she is watching television and "scratching her Baaabaaa". She is 8 and has a comfort object-what of it? :) She got this Baabaa when she was a baby from her Nana Shirley and, when she became attached to it, I immediately bought 2 more-one for "daycare lamb security", one for "car lamb security" and one for "home lamb security"! Ha! That joke never gets old for me... hehehe hmmmm.
Anyway, when are they too old to have a lovey of some kind? I figure if it gives her comfort at nighttime or in her down time, who cares? She doesn't take it out and about or anything...
I put the focus on the scratching of the baabaa since that is the comfort part-the limbs have/had little satin patches that she has always scratched-when she was a wee one, she didn't want me cutting her nails since then she couldn't "cratch her Baabaa".. okay, enough reminiscing for me! :) Focus is on the scratching part and the rest out of focus...
This is such a sweet photo/post!! Great shot! =)
ReplyDeleteI love this shot, especially her sweet half-smile. As a 31-year-old who still has her baby lovie, I think 8 is a very appropriate age to snuggle with a lambie. Also, home lamb security is hilarious. Would never get old for me either!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up at Rub Some Dirt On It with us!!
Awwww..Becky-I love hearing that-thanks for commenting! A colleague of mine said that his 25ish year old daughter still has hers too and must sleep with it. Who can argue with COMFORT???
