Everyone took a hike to the schoolhouse and then on to the lighthouse-5 miles round trip and we had little kids and there were some steep hills! Some kind people set up water coolers at just the right places (tops of hills usually) for hikers to take a drink... and Grandpa bought handmade wooden tops for each of the kids from these boys sitting at a table selling their wooden wares.

ReplyDeleteWow! That's a big hike for these little ones, but it sure sounds like it was fun. Bet Moms and Dads had no problem getting them to sleep that night :-)
