POTD Day 108: Dreams do come true sometimes...
My office supply loving daughter was almost more stoked about getting the school supplies list for third grade than she was for her report card on the last day of school. She bugs me quite frequently to get school supplies. "It is the middle of July for the love of god!", or some version of that, is the reply she gets from me. We began watching the store ads for the REALLY good deals and found some stuff at one of the large establishments and got a few things. OMG-she opened the packages when we got home and labelled the stuff with her name and arranged in the bag that she was told everything must stay in until school begins. I did a photoshoot of some composition notebooks that I got for my own classroom (40 cents each baby!) and then took a picture of her stuff in the bag.

How wonderful that she is so excited to be going back to school. So many children dread that first day.
ReplyDeleteGreat Edit on the books.
This reminds me of the Staples ad which they generally play in July. The dad is riding a cart filling it with school supplies while "It's the most wonderful time of the year" plays in the background. :)
Love this! I was the kid beaming with joy in the school supply aisle of OfficeMax growing up!
ReplyDeleteSchool supplies already...wow! Didn't summer just start...lol
ReplyDeleteShe's destined to be a teacher. Bookstores and offices supply stores are a teacher' s playground.
ReplyDeleteI've always been a school supply junkie!! So glad to have kids of my own to buy for now!! =P
ReplyDeleteIt's back to school time. I have also purchased school supplies for my kids.
