What a beautiful night. There won't be many more of these spontaneous "go to our friend's house to play in the evening" evenings soon. I love this but I am also very ready for some structure! My daughter is too... funny how that works out isn't it? Students are always so excited for summer and then get "bored" after a few weeks (days?)... I go back on Monday for meetings and students go back on Thursday.. Where the heck did August go anyway?
Spectacular photo, Heidi! I love it. The colors remind me of the dog days of summer. Nice work! Oh...and cute kids!
ReplyDeleteThanks Steph! Doesn't that one in back look like her sister in this shot?
ReplyDeleteExactly!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous capture!! The colors are wonderful! My kiddos start tomorrow!! They're definitely ready for the structure too!!
ReplyDeleteOH... I don't have a macro lens. I REALLY wish I did have one though. I bought some macro add-on thingys... they're alright, but not amazing. Mostly I use the 55mm (of the 18-55mm kit lens) and get as close as I can. Lately I've been experimenting (and been quite happy with the results) with using the 250mm (of the 50-250mm lens I have) and getting as close as I can, which isn't very close. Takes some getting used to, but I'm happy with the results so far. Macro is on the wish list though... I think it's the third lens on my list... too many lenses, so little $$!
I've been back for two weeks and I'am ready for a break come on Labor day. Your photo is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGretchen-maybe you have diopters like I do? I used them tonight on my potd...it is a good, and realistically priced, way for me to get close up! Saun-2 weeks? SHEESH! You must get out in early June??? I sort of like that we have 2 days this week and then 4 the next week and then the full meal deal... thanks for the comments friends!!!xoxo
ReplyDeleteIncredible! That looks like so much fun.
